Ruffling Feathers and Crumbling Kingdoms

I was going to wait until after the election, but I have decided that that would be the coward’s way out. I am not going to tell you who to vote for. I think we can all agree that our choices are far less than perfect. But I do want to put something in perspective for us.

Who rules the kingdoms? Who places rulers and political powers where they are? Who orders armies and destroys dynasties? Have we forgotten whose planet we live on? Have we lost sight of whose plan we are meant to be a part of?

America stands condemned! Her walls once welcomed the lost, the destitute, and the ones the rest of the world turned away. We once sought peace through means necessary because we understood what peace cost. We condemned evil for evil and had no part in it. We strived to grow and be better, not one, not some, but all. We lifted up heroes and condemned villains.

But look what a disgrace we have become! We welcome only those who benefit us politically, and we are foolish to pretend we do not have enemies. We know nothing of peace because, within our own boundaries, we are divided and hate filled. We love evil and all it offers. We revel in it. We put it on display and call it good! We despise heroes and choose villains to lead us.

Yes America, we stand condemned. I, sadly, have no hope for our return as a nation under God. At some point, He sat among our leaders and they told him, “Leave, we no longer want you here.” So He got up, and He left, taking his blessing and his favor with him. So we have been disgraced, and we fall into a destruction of our own creation. I cannot morn for you America. How can I plead for your deliverance when all you want is evil? I pray for you, yes. I pray that the remnant of His people will be saved as the walls of our high towers fall and the foundations we have built on paper are washed away.

I stand with the King Eternal. His Kingdom come. His will be done and no other. So as a great nation falls, I pray as believers we see it as an opportunity to make way for his kingdom. As we vote, let us remember who rules the nations.
