War Cry of the Abandoned

I can be one of the first to stand up and scold my generation for their selfishness and stupidity. I am fully aware of the sins, curses, and just plain ruthlessness that plague the people that are stepping up to rule the world now. But, I look around, and I remember what it was like in our formative years. We were left to figure out life on our own. Many were abused in one form or another. It would be hard for me to find a woman who hasn’t been sexually abused or used at some point in her life. It would be hard to find a man that hasn’t had to fight on his own to try and figure out what it means to be a man in a world that either hates them, or tells them to be immature boys for the rest of their lives.

We are an abandoned generation. Our parents didn’t want to deal with us so they put us on drugs. They didn’t like how we were acting so they sent us to councilors to be figured out and analyzed. They didn’t want to discipline us because, quite frankly, they didn’t have the skill. They didn’t show us love because their own lives were more important. They didn’t want to give us guidance because they were too busy trying to untangle the mess that their own lives were in.

I’m not trying to attach blame, but I am asking for a little mercy. If we were going to accurately pinpoint the responsible party, we would have to go back pretty far and gather before two people with a stupid piece of fruit in their hands.  And, do you know who they would have pointed to? A snake. A liar. A murderer and deceiver. The hater of all haters. That’s right, I’m talking about YOU Satan. It’s YOUR fault.

So, to my generation I say let the buck stop here. Turn your blades and bullets from each other, and turn them on the true enemy. Stop blaming one another and fearing one another. The author of your pain is hiding behind the person you blame.

I’m calling for a revolution. I’m calling out to those who hurt more than anything. Look around you. Who put your life in shambles? Who lied to you and told you that was the way to go? Get up. Gather yourself and change allegiance to the one whose been fighting the one who’s been fighting you.

God did not abandon you. He has still not abandoned this generation. I still believe that he can bring out the greatest believers, followers, teachers, prophets, dreamers, and healers from this generation. That’s right, us. You and me.

I was once where you are. I was once dying and dead, and the world around me walked by not seeing the knife stuck in my back. But I fell before a loving father who wept over my wounds as he tended to me with a surgeons skill and healed me from top to bottom. He’s still doing it, but with every step forward I become stronger and more dangerous to the one that was once a danger to me.

Get up and fight with me! This is our battle cry, “For Christ and His kingdom!”

Satan, I have a mission, and it’s to rip as much power and influence from your hands as I can until the day I die. I will fight for those you have wounded. I will speak tender truth to those you have lied to. I see you for who you are, because the one who knows you best lives in me, and he is sick and tired of this. I will fight because He fights. I will win because He has won. I’m calling you out. I’m challenging you. Everything you throw at me He turns on you. Everything you do to me is turned and I see it for what it is. I might go down, but I will go down fighting, and I will gather the people of my father with me, and I will teach them as He has taught me. When I am gone, there will be a hundred to replace me and with each one of them, a thousand to replace them. The fire of the Lord Almighty burns inside me. I will meet you on the front lines, and those of my generation that you thought were down and out will join me. We are coming.
